Catholic University Commits to 9/11 Day of Service
on Saturday, September 10

The Catholic University of America is proud to be sponsoring with Greater DC Cares on September 10 for a city-wide day of service. Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to join the rest of the nation in honoring the victims and heroes of the September 11 attacks – not only in prayer and vigils, but in action.
As a Catholic university, we are called not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Rom 12:21). It is in this spirit that we will gather together — along with 10,000 other volunteers around D.C. and countless more nationally — and be a force for good. In partnership with over 50 nonprofit organizations, schools, and community-based organizations, CUA invites you to show up and make a difference.
The Details:
Who: Students, faculty, staff, and local alumni.
What: Spend a day serving the D.C. Community in remembrance of September 11.
When: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011
