About St. Ann's:

St. Ann's provides transitional housing and supportive services to at-risk children, youth and families in the Metropolitan Washington area who are affected by abuse, neglect, teen pregnancy and homelessness. The home has provided a refuge for needy women and children in the Washington, DC area since 1860.

To Make Donations:

Items needed:
  • Baby wipes
  • Jars of baby food
  • Gift cards (Home Depot, Joanne's Fabric, Payless Shoes)
  • Aveeno skin lotion

 

How Volunteers Help:

CUA students spend time playing with the children who live at St. Ann's.  Activities include playing outside, playing cards, reading, coloring, and having fun!

Volunteers may go however many times they want, there is no requirement to go all three days.  There are also special events throughout the year, which are listed below.

Special Events 2013-2014:

Valentine's Day Party: February 11, 2014

Dr. Seuss Day: March 3, 2014

Times/Transportation:

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 5:45-7:30pm
Meet in the Campus Ministry Office at 5:45pm

    Van Transportation is provided

We are in the process of scheduling a second Orientation night with Sr. Kate - please check back for details. At Orientation, we discuss what volunteers do, how you can help the kids, and what kind of paperwork is involved.

(TB Tests are available at the Health Center!)
